Monday - Come back every day this week for interesting facts, breakdowns and tips all related to sleep! 💤 We’re starting with WHY sleep is so important 👉Did you know that some studies have shown that sleep deprivation leaves people vulnerable to attention lapses, reduced cognition, delayed reactions, and mood shifts? It has also been linked with a higher risk for certain diseases and medical conditions such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, poor mental health, and more. For these reasons, sleep is obviously very important. The average adult aged 18 to 64 requires 7-9 hours per night. Tuesday - At Blue Planet we have 3 different bars designed to assist with sleep. Why is that? Let us explain…What are the differences? First, we will separate CBD from Delta 8 THC. CBD is non-intoxicating whereas Delta 8 IS intoxicating. So, if you do not wish to feel intoxicated or are not used to the intoxicating effects of Delta 8, CBD is the proper choice. If an intoxicating effect is preferred, Delta 8 is your best choice.
The other major differences are between Melatonin and CBN.
Melatonin is a hormone primarily released by the pineal gland at night, and has long been associated with control of the sleep-wake cycle. As a dietary supplement, it is often used for the short-term treatment of insomnia, such as from jet lag or shift work, and is typically taken orally. The downside is some people feel the “hangover” effect the next day and it takes longer to wake up and feel refreshed. However, most people do not have a problem with melatonin.
CBN, cannabinol, is a non-intoxicating minor cannabinoid that’s naturally found in the hemp plant. CBN is a compound used widely across the world with therapeutic benefits for sleep and tranquility. The sleep benefits seem to be beneficial to many and without the “hangover” effect often associated with melatonin.

Thursday - We’ve talked a lot about sleep this week, but what about some tips for a better night's sleep? Let’s get into it. There are some research-backed tips to potentially help you get a better nights sleep:
-Establish a realistic bedtime and stick to it every night, even on the weekends.
-Maintain comfortable temperature settings and low light levels in your bedroom.
-Consider a “screen ban” on televisions, computers and tablets, cell phones, and other electronic devices in your bedroom.
-Exercise during the day; this can help you wind down in the evening and prepare for sleep.
There are many more, but these are great tips to start with! A piece of sleep chocolate about 30 minutes before you plan to sleep is a great way to get your nighttime routine started.Â
